Speakers
Hujjatul Islam Syed Sameer Ali
is an Islamic scholar trained in the seminaries of Qum, Iran and Damascus, Syria. A doctoral student and researcher in Islamic studies, he has a special interest in Islamic manuscripts and intellectual history, and has presented at numerous conferences on the subject.
Professor Lynda Clarke
is a professor of Islamic Studies at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. She is the author of numerous publications on Islamic law, Shi'a studies, and contemporary Islamic thought.
Hujjatul Islam Shaykh Amir Mukhtar Faezi
is the founder of the Baitul Ilm Islamic community in Chicago, Illinois. A prominent Shia scholar and Muslim leader, he has provided guidance to many Muslim communities in the U.S. and trained scholars who are currently serving various Muslim communities.
Hujjatul Islam Dr. Seyyed Mohammad Hejazi
is a well-known Shia scholar and author of numerous books. A professor of both university and seminary studies in Qum, Iran, he has served as a scholar and advisor for communities throughout the United States.
Professor Marcia Hermansen
is the director of the Islamic World Studies Program and professor of theology at Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois. Her research and publications include works on Sufism, Islam in South Asia, and the American Muslim community.
Hujjatul Islam Shaykh Hamza Sodagar
is a recognized Shia scholar and specialist in Islamic law who has lectured and taught extensively throughout the United States and internationally. He is currently based in the Hawza in Qum, Iran, where he teaches advanced seminary classes.

No, attendance at this year's conference and Seminary inauguration is free of charge and open to the public. This is to allow the greatest possible number of interested participants to attend and benefit from the program. We encourage you to support these initiatives with your participation, constructive feedback, and financial contribution.
